Felicia and Justin are starting the ride of their lives! I loved these two and I’m excited to meet Jaxson- whom I just found out weighed 9 lbs 11 oz- she is my hero!!

So this is how it is when you are a photographer, or work at a photographer’s studio….you get your own images stylized anywhere from 3-4 months after you take them I am eternally behind in creating all things for my own family! Candra is our studio manager, she had Aylah on January 15th this year- so it’s only April and we are finally posting these! Candra has great sass and flair and totally pulled off the urban maternity session! She is a gorgeous model and I just love her. We are so happy for her that she has joined the parenthood ranks and little miss Aylah is cute as can be, she looks like her Mama. I definitely miss having her aound every day, but lucky for me she has started to do some work from home (yikes I forgot how hard it is to do everything yourself! Veronica, our other digital artist is in Italy studying abroad this semester).

Obviously I didn’t let her really walk anywhere in those boots! I couldn’t even walk in those not pregnant!

We took this photo about 12 hours before Aylah was born. She was born one day past her due date, and true to Candra’s style, she worked up to the very last minute!

At long last I make this post of our wonderful friends and their not so new now baby. We were finally able to sit down and review the last few sessions in full (life with 3 kids)….and I had forgotten how beautiful some of these images are. Porter, the new little guy, was such a beautiful baby, and slept like a champ during his sessions. We are so lucky to have such great people in our lives and I’m so happy I get to document their family growing and changing. I started photographing their family when their middle child was in the belly. My how time flies!

I love photographing first time moms- it is such an amazing, miraculous time in your life. It is so important to document this transition into motherhood. You will never remember being that big- and the baby being that small. Corbey looked beautiful and had the baby just 2 weeks after the maternity session. Baby Elli is adorable, love those lips!

I love photographing maternity sessions. I think it is such an amazing time in our lives as a woman. While you’re in it, you often can’t see the beauty in yourself, but I love creating images that show you! Camille looked amazing and I can’t wait to meet the baby in August!

There is just something about pregnant women, such an amazing transformation and so incredible to think that there is a little life in there growing…..one of my favorite things to photograph, and Sarah was absolutely beautiful.

One of my favorite things about my job is that I get to watch couples start their families and photograph them all along the way. I photographed Kristen & Patrick’s wedding a few years ago, and now they are having a baby! Actually they just had him last Saturday, and we are going to photograph him this weekend. Kristen & Patrick are such a fun couple and I can’t wait to meet their new little one. Kristen is absolutely gorgeous and looked amazing in her maternity photos!
