I’ve been working with the Flynn family for the past seven years, I love to see how families change and grow. We did this session at La Jolla Cove in San Diego. What a fun session!

Karen — Eight years ago, after my son was born, I was at a friend's house and she had the most gorgeous portrait wall of her children (photography by Desiree!). I immediately knew I wanted similar photos taken of my son. Since that time, we've had several sessions with Desiree (and we've had a daughter!) and now I also have an amazing portrait wall of my children at all different ages and stages. As a parent, it truly is one of my most valuable possessions. The thing I admire most about her style is the natural and candid moments that she captures. There is nothing forced or posed. She is extremely patient and relaxed with the kids (and parents!). Because of this I know that she will always get the best pictures. A session with Desiree never feels rushed or stressful. It's truly amazing the shots that she captures! She never disappoints. I would recommend Desiree to anyone with children. I just wish we knew her before our wedding because her wedding shots are fantastic, too! ( March 12, 2010 @ 1:37 pm )

July 20, 2009The last time we photographed Blake he was just a newborn, this time we got to photograph his one year portrait! Balboa park in San Diego is such a great place to work with children this age, especially kids like Blake that are so cute and full of energy!

Ari’s Cool Car
July 14, 2009We photographed Devra, Ari, and Jake at Balboa park in San Diego. They are family so I try to photograph them whenever I get a chance. Ari loves old Chevrolets and this was his latest. It was a fun prop to work with and Jake looked so cute in his little outfit!

The Curran Family
June 5, 2009I love sessions in San Diego! I’ve been photographing the Curran’s since their wedding five years ago. In fact, this session was on their five year anniversary! We had a great time, Donovan has the face of an angel and a personality to match. The Curran’s are one of my favorite families and we hope to do many sessions together in the future.

Urban Kids San Diego
March 6, 2009Sean is one of the coolest kids I’ve ever photographed. I have been photographing him his whole life, so he is used to me and the camera- and he knows how to work it! He goes a mile a minute, and literally the kid never stops talking or telling stories. I absolutely love photographing him every time, never a dull moment!

Pat Jensen — Desi makes her subjects so comfortable that she can capture beautiful images even when you dont photograph well like me. Sean is a 3 year old boy who can not sit still and yet Desi always gets amazing pictures of him. I will never waste my time and money on any other photographer. Desi is a guarantee.
