One of the rules I have in the studio, is that whenever family comes to town, they have to be photographed! This is our second session with Natalie and her mom. One of the perks of working at a photography studio is that you should have lots of great images of you and your family from this period of time! I know they will have these images forever, and it so important that we create them.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted pics of my little guy. My son, my karmic challenge, my greatest gift, my biggest love. This is my favorite face to photograph but can also be the most elusive. He is at such a fun age right now. I know why they are sooo cute, to remind you at all challenging moments how much you love them. The key to photographing this age is short bursts! The shots I took of him at City Park are some of my favorites this year. I’m keeping all of this in mind when thinking of how I can create the best images of your kids, in their natural environment, doing things they love. The park is so great for this! These photos of him show the pure joy of this age.

He loves his brother Cam so much!! He’s so lucky to have 2 amazing big brothers.

Kate was another favorite to photograph, she was so uniquely herself and we loved her edgy look.  It’s so fun to photograph someone with a different vibe, it allows us to do different posing and select different types of backgrounds.  I love kids who can truly be themselves, this takes courage and Kate was amazing!

I LOVE this guy!  He is definitely one of my favorite guys from this year.  He was so much fun and he was in amazing shape after all of his hard work and dedication as a gymnast.  The Fowler family was also a joy to work with and we had so much fun in this session that we followed if up with a family session, so stay tuned for those images!

Senior Photography

These kids are growing up fast!  As mothers it is such a bittersweet time.  You love to watch your child grow and flourish and there is such excitement in what is to come…but they will always be our babies.  We will always be able to see the baby they were, the child and the soon to be adult!  Thank you to all my clients that allow me the opportunity to create images that will be around for the rest of your life, that you will look at with your children, and that someday your children will look back at, and say “Wow, look how young and beautiful she is!”.  I always think about the images I create in this way, that these images will be around for many years and will change in meaning and sentiment over the years.  Thank you to Lori, Shelby’s mom for all her consideration and sweetness.  I love these images of Shelby and her mom together. So much love!   After losing my mother this past month, these images have taken on new meaning for me.  Every child should have amazing images with their parents, at least one time in their lives!
